On February 26, ITC Federal<\/a>, a mission-driven technology provider supporting national security and federal law enforcement agencies, announced that it has achieved the Department of Defense\u2019s (DoD) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 Level 2 certification.<\/p>\n

In late 2025, DoD began rolling out CMMC 2.0, transitioning contractors from voluntary cybersecurity guidance to mandatory compliance requirements designed to standardize accountability and strengthen security across the federal supply chain. The certification validates that contractors have the trained workforce, governance framework, and technical safeguards required to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Federal Contract Information (FCI) in accordance with NIST SP 800-171 standards.<\/p>\n

\u201cCybersecurity is not a compliance or certification exercise for our company, \u201csaid Greg Fitzgerald, CEO of ITC Federal. \u201cAchieving CMMC 2.0 certification reinforces our commitment to our customers, ensuring our employees are equipped to protect sensitive information while also delivering secure IT solutions to meet mission objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n

The certification continues to strengthen ITC\u2019s ability to support national security missions that require the protection of sensitive information by ensuring employees are aware of best practices to provide the best support to our customers, the company said.<\/p>\n

\u201cCMMC 2.0 certification ensures we are not only compliant, but operationally prepared to defend the data that supports the warfighter and national security community,\u201d Fitzgerald added.<\/p>\n
