Bono’s primary responsibility is to lead Two Six’s Trusted Concepts business unit (TCI), which provides software engineering, cyber, and advanced analytics solutions to customers in the Intelligence Community. TCI continues to grow, driven by the exceptional technical expertise of its team members, deep relationships with government customers, and dedication to missions of national security, according to the company. Bono assumes the role previously held by Chris Greenlee, one of the co-founders of TCI who now serves as Two Six’s vice president of zero trust solutions.

Bono spent his 23-year career prior to joining Two Six with government contractor CACI International Inc. where he rose through the ranks of the company, culminating as vice president of cyber mission operations. During that time, he honed skills across software development and program/team management, amassing experience in offensive cyber development and enhanced tradecraft, driving new methods for analysis in customer mission systems, and applying reengineering capabilities to new mission sets.

Shea brings invaluable experience and unique perspectives to Two Six Technologies from her distinguished 32-year career with the National Security Agency (NSA). She held several key leadership assignments during her NSA career, culminating as the Director of Signals Intelligence. In this position, she was the principal signals intelligence (SIGINT) advisor to the Director of NSA, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), countless U.S. Military officers, and U.S. government high-ranking officials.

Ragsdale brought to Two Six Technologies a 40-year record of service in the U.S. Army, the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), and DARPA, amassing unparalleled expertise in cybersecurity and cyber operations. During his two years at Two Six, he made significant contributions, initially serving as Vice President for Research and Development, and later as Vice President for DoD Strategy. In both positions, his collaborative efforts contributed directly to the notable growth Two Six Technologies experienced in both sponsored research and sponsored transition during his tenure.

“‘Rags’ – as he’s affectionately known – joined Two Six at a critical juncture, just six months after it was formed, and his contributions to and effect on his team and the company were immediate,” said Joe Logue, CEO of Two Six Technologies. “Under his direction, the teams he led made a substantial impact on our organic growth and strategic expansion. We’re not at all surprised Rags was recruited for this crucial role, where he’ll apply his dedication, passion, and leadership skills to the benefit of our country’s national security.”

Prior to Two Six Technologies, Ragsdale served as the DOD’s Acting Director of Defense Research and Engineering for Modernization, where he was responsible for driving DOD-wide innovation by facilitating development and facilitation of advanced technologies for the Joint force. Before that, he was Principal Director for Cyber, responsible for coordinating cyber modernization efforts across the DOD.

Earlier positions include founding director of the Texas A&M Cybersecurity Center; DARPA Program Manager, overseeing a $175M portfolio cybersecurity, cyber operations, and behavioral science R&D programs; 30 years in the U.S. Army in a variety of operational, R&D, and educational roles; and nearly 15 years on the faculty at the United States Military Academy, West Point, culminating as Vice Dean for Education.

Ragsdale is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy. He earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.

“Over the past four decades I have had the good fortune to serve in a wide variety of leadership roles as a career Army officer, a DOD civilian, and in the private sector at Two Six Technologies,” said Ragsdale. “I absolutely resonate with Two Six’s ‘people first, mission-focused’ mantra, and I’m proud to have been part of the company’s rapid growth over the past two years. Every day, advertising companies and data brokers amass massive amounts of data from mobile phones, tracking billions of users globally. While Google and Apple have begun to provide better privacy controls, data is still being collected that is often unnecessary to provide the expected functionality to end users. New privacy preserving technologies are emerging, enabling app developers to provide better privacy to end users while still achieving the functional goals of the application.

“The ability to target and track citizens or government personnel alike is an increasing risk that must be addressed,” said Joe Logue, CEO of Two Six Technologies. “Two Six is committed to partnering with DARPA and other government organizations to continue driving innovative research in technologies and systems that ensure user’s privacy.”

Coffeebreak was jointly developed under the DARPA Brandeis program by Two Six Technologies, Stealth Software Technologies, Raytheon BBN. Coffeebreak showcases how an application can leverage multi party computation (MPC) to provide a meaningful service to users without sacrificing their privacy. Coffeebreak supports securely and privately calculating a meeting point (at a coffee shop) for up to 10 participants. It does so by encrypting the device’s location and running the MPC calculation across all of the participating phones, operating only on the encrypted location data.

“Coffeebreak demonstrates that MPC and other privacy preserving techniques are ready to be leveraged and utilized more broadly, mitigating some of the privacy risks faced by users today,” said Dan Hallenbeck, Research Director at Two Six Technologies. “We hope that by open sourcing Coffeebreak and demonstrating what can be done with this technology, more app developers will follow and begin to leverage privacy technologies to better protect their users.”

Kimber served more than 37 years in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), including as the first female deputy director of the CIA for operations (DDO). As DDO, Kimber was responsible for overseeing the CIA’s worldwide human intelligence operations and networks, as well as the CIA’s foreign intelligence collection and covert action missions.

“Two Six Technologies is a unique company focused on addressing some of the most critical and challenging threats to U.S. national security,” said Kimber. “I am thrilled to join the team to help deliver the innovative technologies urgently needed by our defense, intelligence, and operational customers.”

Kimber joined the CIA in January 1985 and was promoted into the Senior Intelligence Service in 2002. She served 18 years of her career in field operational positions, including as chief of station and DNI representative. She also served as acting deputy director of CIA (Acting DDCIA), the first assistant director of CIA for Europe and Eurasia, and deputy director of the National Clandestine Service.

Kimber received a bachelor’s degree in history and French from Hamilton College in 1984 and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. She is the recipient of the Presidential Rank Award (Meritorious) and numerous CIA and Intelligence Community awards.
