On May 14, BAE Systems Geospatial eXploitation Products (GXP) and Vantor announced that they will be providing advanced intelligence and targeting capabilities for contested electronic warfare (EW) environments. This delivery integrates part of Vantor’s Raptor, a vision-based software suite that enables autonomous systems to navigate, orient, and extract accurate ground coordinates without relying on GPS, with the GXP software ecosystem, ensuring intelligence continuity when sensors are degraded.

In modern conflict zones, the proliferation of inexpensive unmanned aerial systems (UAS) with equally low-quality sensors, in addition to widespread GPS spoofing and jamming, have rendered traditional drone video collection unreliable. Significant metadata drift in tactical video feeds leads to “targeting paralysis”: high-quality imagery is available, but the underlying geographic coordinates are too inaccurate for precision activities.

To solve this, Raptor Sync georegisters the full-motion video feed from the drone’s on-board camera with Vantor’s 3D terrain data in real-time, enabling downstream GXP intelligence fusion, multi-domain interoperability across different sensors, and accurate ground coordinate extraction at a demonstrated absolute accuracy of <3 m. This system enables previously impossible intelligence and targeting workflows.

“In contested environments, the sensor’s imagery and video collections are only half the battle; the accuracy of the data it produces is what determines mission success,” said Kurt de Venecia, senior director of product development at BAE Systems GXP. “By including Raptor directly into our GXP intelligence workflows, we are providing analysts with the ability to maintain absolute targeting confidence, even when the platform’s systems or inertial sensors lack high absolute accuracy.”

Injecting corrected Key-Length-Value (KLV) metadata from Raptor directly into the drone’s video stream at the edge enhances accuracy prior to exploitation in GXP software. This overrides inaccurate telemetry, enabling analysts using GXP solutions to extract weapon-quality coordinates and execute intelligence and targeting missions in real time.

“Analysts cannot afford to lose confidence in where a target actually is,” said Paul Millhouse, senior director, raptor products at Vantor. “By using Raptor to correct video before it enters the GXP Ecosystem, we’re enhancing the performance of existing and new drone fleets. The result is a more resilient workflow for extracting accurate ground coordinates and maintaining operational tempo.”

On May 4, Vantor announced that it has been awarded a $70 million Option Year 1 contract by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) as part of the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (G-EGD) program.

Under this follow-on award, Vantor delivers and operates GEGD Pro, a secure, web-based geospatial intelligence platform that leverages Vantor’s Tensorglobe software suite. Designed exclusively for NGA as the primary commercial GEOINT platform for the U.S. government, GEGD Pro provides secure access to commercial and government furnished GEOINT content for more than 1.2 million government users across 250+ organizations.

GEGD Pro is a source-agnostic platform that integrates multiple geospatial data sources, including digital maps, refined persistent change model data, and other derived products. It also enables secure viewing, streaming, and analysis of petabyte-scale datasets, including commercial electro-optical, radar, and other NGA-procured data—a scale unmatched by other hosting platforms.

“GEGD Pro demonstrates how a flexible, integrated platform can support critical national security missions today while scaling for tomorrow,” said Susanne Hake, executive vice president and general manager, U.S. government at Vantor. “The platform delivers uninterrupted, trusted access to GEOINT, enabling faster, more informed operational decisions and delivering capabilities that can extend beyond a single agency to other mission partners.”

On April 15, Windward, a leading Maritime AI intelligence company, and Vantor, a leading provider of unified spatial intelligence, announced a strategic partnership to integrate Vantor’s space-based Sentry persistent monitoring system into Windward’s Maritime AI platform. The integration provides defense, intelligence, and commercial customers with an automated system that continuously detects and tracks maritime activity at global scale.

Maritime domain awareness (MDA) has long been constrained by fragmented sensors and siloed workflows. Detection happens in one system, identity verification and behavioral analysis in another, forcing analysts to manually connect signals across AIS, RF, SAR, and electro-optical imagery. This fragmentation breaks custody—especially for vessels that intentionally go dark.

This partnership eliminates that gap by integrating Sentry directly into Windward’s platform, connecting vessel detection, identity, and behavior into a single, continuous intelligence loop. The result is a persistent, automated intelligence layer that transforms MDA from reactive analysis into a continuous, decision-ready system.

“From the Indo-Pacific to the Arctic, maritime activity is becoming more contested and complex, and adversaries are exploiting the seams between sensors, disabling AIS and masking identity faster than traditional workflows can keep pace,” said Peter Wilczynski, chief product officer at Vantor. “Windward has built a powerful intelligence layer that unifies maritime signals, and with Sentry, we’re adding the orchestration and identity layer that closes that gap to create an end-to-end monitoring system that delivers automated, persistent intelligence at the pace of real-world activity.”

Sentry, Vantor’s automated persistent monitoring system, drives automated multi-sensor tasking of Vantor’s high-resolution electro-optical (EO) imaging constellation and third-party synthetic aperture radar (SAR) sensors for broad-area search, enabling seamless SAR-to-EO tip-and-cue workflows without manual intervention. This moves operators from detection to confirmation in a single continuous process.

This system feeds vessel detections to Sentry’s AI-powered fingerprinting capability, which generates a canonical identity for each vessel based on imagery-derived characteristics to maintain custody across sensors, time, and geography—even when vessels disable AIS or never transmit at all. These fingerprints are fused with Windward’s intelligence stack, including AIS and RF data, creating a unified operational picture across detection, identity, and behavior at global scale.

Beyond vessel tracking, the integration extends persistent monitoring from sea to port infrastructure. Sentry continuously analyzes port activity using Vantor’s 20-plus-year historical satellite imagery archive to establish patterns of life, assess capacity, and track turnaround dynamics over time. This creates a continuous intelligence layer that integrates directly with Windward’s Early Detection capability, enabling operators to both detect and explain anomalies—not just flag them.

On April 9, Vantor announced plans to expand its satellite constellation and create the first commercial space-based system combining accurate, high-resolution imaging with real-time global monitoring—empowering government and commercial customers to generate intelligence and power tactical operations at unprecedented speed and scale.

For decades, space-based intelligence has forced a tradeoff: you could either see the world in high detail or monitor it continuously, but not both. This expansion to Vantor’s constellation, which already delivers the most accurate and high-resolution imagery on orbit, eliminates that tradeoff for the first time.

These new satellites, Vantor Vantage and Vantor Pulse, build on the success of Vantor’s state-of-the-art WorldView Legion program, which doubled collection capacity, introduced dawn-to-dusk monitoring, and set a new benchmark for commercial imaging performance. Legion satellites are already supporting high-priority missions for customers around the world, delivering the scale, accuracy, and reliability required for operational missions.

With Legion, Vantor’s constellation can collect over 3.5 million square kilometers of highly accurate 30 cm-class imagery daily and revisit the same location on Earth up to 15 times per day. The expanded fleet will further increase this collection capacity while improving revisit rates five-fold, unlocking imaging of the same location on Earth as frequently as every 15 minutes.

These capabilities enable a continuously updated, real-time view of the world in 2D and 3D—allowing customers to detect change, maintain up-to-date maps, track activity, and predict emerging threats at machine speed.

Vantor expects to bring the first Pulse satellites online as soon as 2027, followed by the first two Vantage satellites as soon as 2029.

“Vantage and Pulse usher in a new era of space-based intelligence—it’s the first time that governments and businesses can get both detailed imaging and real-time monitoring from a single commercial system,” said Dan Smoot, Vantor CEO. “That fundamentally changes how intelligence is generated and used. Instead of choosing between accuracy and speed, customers can seamlessly collect, fuse, and deploy our multi-class intelligence within their sovereign systems, turning space-based data into a real-time operational capability.”

On April 1, Vantor, a provider of unified spatial intelligence from space to ground, announced that it has been awarded its third National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Luno contract to provide NGA and other U.S. government agencies automated, near real-time orbital intelligence of high-interest objects in space.

Under the $2.3 million contract, Vantor will utilize its high-resolution imagery of space objects, also known as non-Earth Imagery (NEI), to deliver intelligence on priority objects in low Earth orbit, including providing alerts when anomalies are present. The analysis will be largely automated, marking a significant step forward in eliminating manual processing and accelerating timely and actionable insights for Space Domain Awareness.

“In a contested domain like space, awareness is everything,” said Susanne Hake, executive vice president and general manager, U.S. government at Vantor.  “Still, it’s the one domain where exquisite visual intelligence is extremely hard to come by, creating literal and figurative blind spots. Our NEI capabilities are one of the few technologies that can provide high-resolution visual intelligence of objects in space, providing intelligence analysts and decisionmakers with a deeper understanding of the behavior and intent of high-interest space objects—a decisive edge in an increasingly complex environment.”

Vantor’s orbital intelligence capabilities can provide insights into a space object’s features, health, velocity, and movements, including whether an object is changing orbit—a situation that could endanger the safety of U.S. assets in space. Vantor satellites can capture images of other spacecraft at an industry-leading resolution of less than 10 cm from hundreds of kilometers away, making it possible to quickly characterize those space objects and determine their health and status.

This award marks the third win for Vantor under NGA’s Luno program. Vantor previously announced a Luno contract to automatically detect land use land cover change at global scale, enabling NGA to anticipate where maps and their features may require updates. And in June, Vantor was awarded a Luno contract to deliver AI/ML-generated object detection services to identify assets across air, maritime, land, and rail domains; determine counts at specified locations; detect trends and anomalies; and perform advanced spatial and temporal geospatial intelligence analysis.

“These awards reflect the core of Vantor’s mission—to deliver real-time intelligence faster than the speed of threat, from space to ground,” said Hake. “By integrating our persistent monitoring, change detection, and space-domain awareness capabilities, we’re empowering our partners to understand and act on threats across every domain, before they emerge.”

On February 25, Vantor announced that it has been awarded a follow-on production contract to support the U.S. Army’s One World Terrain (OWT) program, advancing the Army’s ability to train and rehearse missions using high-precision, immersive 3D terrain. The contract, which is worth up to $217 million when including option years, is structured as an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), a flexible acquisition method that enables the Army to rapidly procure innovative technologies outside traditional federal contracting rules.

Building on more than 6 years of successful prototype work, Vantor will leverage its 3D Vivid Terrain product and advanced modeling technology to deliver accurate, ultra-realistic 3D representations of Earth. Powered by Vantor’s Forge production and fusion software—which continuously ingests and fuses data from satellites and drones—Vivid Terrain represents the most precise, texture-rich digital twin of the planet available today. The resulting datasets feature sub-3-meter accuracy in all dimensions with real-world surface textures, enabling immersive simulation and mission-rehearsal environments that support both classified and commercial operations.

The OWT program serves as a cornerstone of the Army’s Synthetic Training Environment (STE), providing realistic, automatically generated global geospatial datasets for simulation-based collective training, mission rehearsal, and mission execution.

On February 17, Vantor and Google announced that they have signed an agreement to integrate Google Earth AI imagery models into the Vantor Tensorglobe platform, expanding the analytical capabilities available to sovereign governments operating in sensitive and classified environments as they deliver on civil, humanitarian, and security missions.

Through this integration, Vantor becomes the first spatial intelligence company to deploy Google Earth AI models in air-gapped government environments. Vantor can fine-tune and retrain these models using a customer’s sovereign data—combining Vantor satellite imagery, third-party commercial imagery, and a customer’s own remote sensing sources—to unlock more advanced, integrated intelligence.

The Earth AI imagery models will also be integrated into Vantor’s mission applications, beginning with Sentry, to support persistent site monitoring and broad-area maritime monitoring workflows.

Google’s Earth AI models represent a breakthrough in geospatial AI, leveraging proven architectures trained on massive datasets of satellite and aerial imagery to accurately map buildings and roads, locate specific objects and features, assess post-event damage, semantically understand scenes, and more.

This integration marks the first time Earth AI imagery models have been deployed commercially against a dataset with the scale, accuracy, and temporal depth of Vantor’s AI-ready spatial foundation, which includes highly accurate, global-scale 2D and 3D data.

Combining the power of Earth AI imagery models with the scale, depth, and quality of Vantor satellite imagery, Vantor customers can rapidly unlock complex and valuable use cases.

Vantor’s spatial foundation covers virtually all of Earth’s landmass in 2D and 95% of the highest areas of interest in 3D. The foundation is supported by a 20-plus-year archive of high-resolution satellite imagery, including the deepest archive of 30 cm-class imagery available commercially. That foundation is continuously refreshed by Vantor’s imaging satellite constellation, which can revisit the same location on Earth up to 15 times per day, providing a consistent, current baseline for automated analysis and change detection.

On February 5, Vantor, the leading provider of unified spatial intelligence from space to ground, has been awarded a $5.3 million National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Luno B contract to detect and deliver automated insights on real-time changes to the Earth’s landscape, strengthening NGA’s global mapping and intelligence missions.

Under the contract, Vantor will use AI-powered analytics and integrate data from multiple space-based sensors—including its own imaging satellites and third-party electro-optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites—to identify changes to the Earth’s physical terrain.

The insights will drive updates to NGA’s comprehensive Land Use Land Cover classification system, which ensures the accurate characterization of land use and its condition worldwide. On December 17, Niantic Spatial, a pioneer in geospatial AI, and Vantor, a provider of unified spatial intelligence, announced a partnership to deliver a comprehensive positioning solution that will enable air and ground platforms to navigate and coordinate precisely in GPS-denied environments. Field testing of the integrated system is planned for early 2026.

The partnership addresses a critical vulnerability in modern operations: GPS unavailability, spoofing, interference, and jamming. When satellite signals are compromised, autonomous systems and field teams lose their ability to orient, coordinate or maintain accurate situational awareness.

To address this, Niantic Spatial and Vantor are integrating two distinct, industry-leading localization technologies to create a unified operating picture. The joint capability will leverage Niantic Spatial’s ground-based Visual Positioning System (VPS) and Vantor’s aerial-focused Raptor visual positioning software to create a shared coordinate system from the live video feeds of autonomous drones, vehicles, AR glasses, and other field assets.

Combining these two capabilities offers an integrated air-to-ground system capable of allowing any sensor to determine its position in the real world. This ensures that a drone in the sky and a person on the ground can share coordinates in real-time, even without a GPS signal.

“By combining Niantic Spatial’s expertise in ground-based localization with Vantor’s proven aerial systems and global 3D foundation, we’re building an integrated positioning network that operates anywhere,” said Brian McClendon, chief technology officer at Niantic Spatial. “Our Large Geospatial Model gives these systems the ability to perceive, align, and operate in a shared frame of reference — even when traditional GPS is unavailable.”

“The rise of autonomous and mixed reality systems is reshaping our world, but these systems only work if they can maintain precise location intelligence when GPS is down,” said Peter Wilczynski, Vantor’s chief product officer. “Raptor powers GPS-independent autonomy in the air, and we’re partnering with Niantic Spatial to bring this capability to the ground. Together, we can connect any air- or ground-based camera feed to a unified view of the operational terrain for continuous operations. Built on field-tested software, this solution will easily integrate with hardware systems to give operators a decisive advantage in the field.”
