On May 18, Booz Allen Hamilton and Anduril announced that Booz Allen’s mission software and cyber capabilities now run on Anduril’s Menace compute and communications systems and are integrated with Anduril’s Lattice software.

Operators at the tactical edge need situational awareness, full spectrum cyber access and RF effects, and an accredited security posture on unified compute they can carry into forward areas. These capabilities have historically lived on separate stacks, with separate accreditation paths. On Menace, they now run together.

Together, these integrated solutions enhance Menace’s foundation for mission software, cyber operations, and secure communications. Teams can rapidly deploy, operate, and secure their mission systems globally without the need to integrate multiple disparate products.

Booz Allen and Anduril have collaborated for six years, including the fielding of Booz Allen’s EdgeXtend, built on Anduril’s Voyager edge hardware systems. The partnership and integrations announced today extend that work into C2, cyber and RF effects, and zero trust – capability areas where the DoW has signaled clear demand and where peer and near-peer competitors are increasingly contesting U.S. forces.

On May 14, LMI announced a Rapid Development Pilot with Anduril Industries to generate targeted capabilities for the U.S. Army’s Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) environment. LMI is building combat-ready applications for use in the ecosystem, which makes emerging technologies available across the Army Enterprise. The pilot offers a new model for conceiving, validating, and fielding critical defense solutions, compressing timelines to deliver mission-ready capabilities at the speed required by modern warfare.

The collaboration has roots in the Army’s Ivy Sting exercises, which validate emerging NGC2 capabilities under operational conditions. In this series, applications like LMI’s SHEPRD are hosted in the NGC2 ecosystem, enabled by Lattice Mesh, and tested in field exercises alongside active Army units.

During Ivy Sting 4, LMI rapidly modified and deployed SHEPRD at IL6 – the highest level of authorization for cloud systems handling Secret classified data – in a matter of weeks, a process that would traditionally take months or longer. That acceleration was made possible through close, iterative collaboration between LMI, Anduril, and the Army, with all three focused on mission outcomes over ownership.

The result was a fundamentally different development cycle, where capabilities could be fielded, evaluated, and refined in near real time. Building on that success, LMI and Anduril now embark on a Rapid Development Pilot to extend this model, delivering additional soldier-centric applications that address real operational challenges faced by warfighters, LMI said.

“The promise of NGC2 is a virtual arsenal of built-for-combat apps that are accessible to any and all units as needed, and that’s compelling on its own,” said SHEPRD Platform Lead Allen Rivers. “But we’ve also shown that you can deliver these solutions securely, as they’re needed, with an incredibly short turnover between ideation, production, and deployment. That combination of pace and availability is a game changer.”

“The measure of NGC2 is how fast the Army can pull combat-ready capability from any partner into soldiers’ hands,” said Zach Kramer, GM for mission command, Anduril Industries. “SHEPRD’s deployment at Ivy Sting showed what’s possible when the platform is built to accelerate the ecosystem instead of constrain it, and this Rapid Development Pilot with LMI is how we make that the standard across the Army enterprise.”

“What we proved at Ivy Sting is that you can take a capability from concept to deployment in weeks, not months, even in secure environments,” said LMI CTO Jared Summers. “Anduril has built the ecosystem to make that possible, and together we’re showing what a new model for delivering capability looks like.”

Anduril has developed ground-based and on-orbit capabilities designed to enable end-to-end space domain awareness, from delivering resilient mesh networking for the U.S. Space Surveillance Network (SSN), to advancing internally funded missions that will demonstrate a variety of capabilities on-orbit. On March 10, Anduril announced the latest investment to make that possible.

Anduril has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ExoAnalytic Solutions, a US-based national security company focused on space domain awareness and missile defense. For nearly twenty years, ExoAnalytic has delivered important advantage for the nation’s most critical missions. Exo is a renowned leader in modeling and simulation for classified national security space programs and provides critical software and expertise for missile warning and missile defense. The company also owns and operates the world’s largest commercial telescope network with more than 400 systems deployed worldwide, enabling persistent, high-fidelity awareness of deep space at a global scale.

The acquisition, subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of required regulatory approvals, will accelerate Anduril’s work supporting national security space customers: by integrating ExoAnalytic’s global commercial telescope network, missile defense software, and proven simulation and tracking algorithms, Anduril will rapidly enhance and extend its capabilities in space domain awareness, battle management, and fire control to enable continued space superiority for America and its allies. The acquisition will significantly enhance Anduril’s ability to develop and deploy solutions across space sensing, tracking, and countermeasures, building on existing collaborations between Anduril and Exo to significantly scale the impact that we will be able to provide for national security missions.

This acquisition will combine Exo’s industry-leading missile defense and space domain awareness capabilities—including its vast sensor network and proven data analytics—with Anduril’s software-defined expertise in autonomy, command and control, and rapid fielding, the company said.

On February 11, Rune Technologies announced that it has joined Anduril‘s $99.6 million Next-Generation Command and Control (NGC2) prototype effort for the U.S. Army, which is being operationally evaluated alongside the 4th Infantry Division.

Rune’s TyrOS platform was purpose-built for predictive logistics at the tactical level and is integrated into the NGC2 prototype to support sustainment decision-making in complex operational environments. Rune is part of a broad industry team, led by Anduril, which includes technology providers supporting different aspects of the NGC2 architecture.

Adopting a “team of teams” strategy, Rune’s TyrOS platform supports logistics operations at the tactical level. Critically, the platform will ingest sensor data and information generated at the edge. This crucial role directly addresses a major military challenge: ensuring commanders receive accurate, real-time logistics information, especially in contested environments where communications may be unreliable or unavailable.

NGC2 is the Army’s effort to enable commanders to make faster and better decisions than the enemy by integrating information from previously siloed warfighting systems. The initiative delivers an ecosystem designed to enable interoperability across a distributed network of platforms, systems, and applications. Rune addresses a critical gap in this ecosystem: transforming logistics from a reactive, manual process into an intelligent system that operates at the speed required for modern warfare against peer adversaries.

Rune’s systems are designed with a mesh-centric, “offline first” architecture, ensuring resilience in denied, degraded, intermittent, or low-bandwidth (DDIL) conditions. Operating within Anduril’s mesh-based NGC2 architecture, TyrOS provides AI-enabled decision support when connectivity is limited or unavailable—supporting operations against near-peer adversaries who actively target supply lines and communications infrastructure. Under the contract, TyrOS is integrating with new and existing systems within the NGC2 team and across the Army.

“With NGC2, Team Anduril has been able to quickly integrate and onboard applications that provide mission specific value to warfighters,” said Tom Keane, senior vice president at Anduril. “Within hours TyrOS was able to subscribe to key data sources using Lattice Mesh, share data across vehicles and command posts, and inform soldiers of key logistics data points.”

On December 15, the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM), in coordination with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the General Services Administration (GSA), the White House Office of Science Technology and Policy (OSTP), and agency leaders across the administration, announced the establishment of the United States Tech Force (Tech Force)– a new, cross-government program to recruit top technologists to modernize the federal government.

Securing America’s leadership in AI is the paramount national challenge of this generation. The White House’s AI Action Plan focuses on unleashing private sector innovation while also recognizing the federal government must have the technical talent to lead in technology modernization.

Tech Force is a critical aspect of this directive – a government-wide effort to surge teams of top engineers, data scientists, and technology leaders to tackle the government’s most complex and large-scale challenges and deliver on the president’s vision. In collaboration with leading private-sector technology companies, participants will receive world-class technical training and work closely with senior managers sourced directly from industry.

“This is a clarion call,” OPM Director Scott Kupor said. “If you want to help your country lead in the age of rapid technological advancement, we need you. Agency leaders will partner closely with Tech Force leadership, which includes individuals from OPM, OMB, GSA, and OSTP, in addition to the Chief AI Officer, the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy, the Special Advisor to the President for AI & Crypto, the White House Office of Public Liaison, and the National Science Foundation.

This unprecedented cross-government coordination will ensure the federal government possesses the best talent to modernize and strengthen its technology systems.

On September 8, Varda Space Industries, Inc., a microgravity-enabled life sciences company building hypersonic reentry vehicles and infrastructure for the orbital economy, together with LeoLabs, a mission partner for persistent Orbital Intelligence, and Anduril, a defense technology company, announced a successful joint demonstration to track, monitor, and report orbital maneuvers in advance of a hypersonic reentry.

Varda’s W-3 vehicle, which returned to Earth on May 13, 2025, performed a series of orbital maneuvers ahead of hypersonic reentry. With cues from Varda, LeoLabs’ Global Radar Network tracked the vehicle’s on-orbit maneuvers. The LeoLabs data was then integrated with Anduril’s Lattice, an AI-enabled software platform that provides resilient mesh networking and low-latency communications across a global network of sensors, to provide distributed users with real-time situational awareness of on-orbit maneuvers.

Tracking orbital maneuvers in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) is a critically important component of space domain awareness, providing early warning and attribution of potentially threatening activity. In a future experiment, the companies are exploring opportunities to expand the demonstration to use LeoLabs’ new Scout radar to detect a Varda capsule as it reenters at hypersonic speed. Scout is a containerized S-band Direct Radiating Array (DRA) radar that can be easily transported for rapid deployment to any location worldwide to detect and track launches and reentries, such as Varda’s landings in South Australia. The data will again be ingested into Anduril’s Lattice, facilitating connectivity with a range of government and defense command and control nodes.

The companies initiated the joint demonstration as an internal R&D effort, recognizing the potential of their combined technologies to support national security. Orchestrated in under a week, the effort showcases the agility of emerging and scaling space companies to rapidly identify use cases, conduct R&D, and iterate at speed.

“Regular, rigorous component and systems testing for defense modernization is incredibly important,” said Varda CEO Will Bruey. “Varda is doing that today as the lowest-cost, highest-cadence platform to fly at speeds higher than Mach 25. This is a leapfrog capability that only America has.”

Varda’s hypersonic reentry testbed utilizes a recoverable, dual-use orbital processing capsule and is the least expensive method to reproduce the most challenging hypersonic and reentry flight environments at speeds exceeding Mach 25. The hypersonic regime currently lacks a sufficient number of real-world testing environments to support the rapid test cadence required to derisk our most advanced aerospace vehicles and systems. Varda’s testbed is a turn-key option to raise TRL and iterate quickly and economically.

“This is an important step in better understanding how we can push LeoLabs technology to adjacent mission sets,” said LeoLabs CEO Tony Frazier. “Tracking the on-orbit maneuvers of Varda’s W-3 at hypersonic speed and seamlessly integrating our Orbital Intelligence data into Anduril’s Lattice represents the critical ability to provide actionable insights to decision-makers at the point of need.”

LeoLabs’ Global Radar Network supports a range of mission areas, from space domain awareness and space traffic management to emerging applications such as search and detection of foreign launches and maneuvers. By investing in next-gen mobile and modular radar technologies for rapid deployment, the company is setting the standard for how commercial innovation can support space battle management, space safety, and missile defense.

“No solution works in isolation,” said Gokul Subramanian, SVP of space and engineering at Anduril Industries. “Integrating LeoLabs’ sensor data into Lattice in less than a week is the latest example of how our interoperable, resilient, and low-latency networking and communications architecture ensures that end users always have access to the right tools, sensors, and information they need to execute their missions.”

On September 8, Maxar Intelligence announced a strategic partnership with Anduril to supply the foundational geospatial intelligence that will underpin a next-generation mixed-reality command-and-control (C2) system that Anduril Industries is developing for the U.S. Army.

The C2 system will power the Soldier-Borne Mission Command Architecture (SBMC-A) program, which will provide U.S. warfighters with a futuristic mixed-reality capability that overlays real-time battlefield intelligence directly into a soldier’s field of view. Advanced headsets will display digital information on top of their real-world view during live combat missions and training. This system requires detailed, accurate and up-to-date 3D maps to serve as the spatial foundation for intelligence flowing into the system.

SBMC-A isn’t a set of goggles—it’s a software, network, and integration layer that turns every soldier into a node in the C2 network. Legacy mission command systems built around maps and radios can’t keep up with the speed and complexity of modern battlefields. By integrating Maxar’s geospatial intelligence into Anduril’s Lattice AI-powered software, SBMC-A gives soldiers accurate, real-time awareness of terrain and threats—turning data into actionable insight that strengthens survivability and accelerates decision making in contested environments.

“This partnership positions Maxar at the heart of the Army’s most advanced combat systems,” said Susanne Hake, general manager, U.S. government, Maxar Intelligence. “As military operations become increasingly integrated and automated, Maxar’s software-enabled geospatial intelligence capabilities become vital to maintaining America’s military advantage, protecting our warfighters and delivering results on the battlefield.”

Maxar will deliver this foundation through a software-enabled solution that Anduril integrates into its Lattice software, leveraging Maxar’s 3D operational terrain—a high-fidelity digital representation of the physical world. Maxar’s automated 3D production software will ensure terrain data is refreshed within hours of collecting new satellite images, keeping the 3D foundation aligned with ground truth in live combat operations and training missions.

Through this contract, Maxar and Anduril will deliver a working prototype of the 3D foundation to the U.S. Army, with a focus on 14 initial locations of interest. The partners will also advance the solution toward full operational capability. The partnership builds on Maxar’s existing support of the Army’s One World Terrain program, for which the company has been providing 3D mapping data since 2019.

The U.S. Army will continue experimentation and prototyping via an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement to Team Anduril on behalf of Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, and Network (PEO C3N), to deliver a prototype architecture for the Army’s Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) initiative to the 4th Infantry Division, the Army announced July 18.

The OTA, for $99.6 million over 11 months, requires Anduril and several teamed industry partners to provide an integrated and scalable suite of command and control (C2) warfighting capabilities across hardware, software, and applications, through a common and integrated data layer.

The continuation of this OTA is the first step in scaling NGC2 to division-level experimentation and prototyping with the 4th ID to inform broader fielding across the Army. The Army is also executing a competition for additional vendors and vendor teams through a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO), with additional OTA(s) expected to be awarded later in Fiscal Year 2025 for NGC2 prototyping with other units, including the 25th Infantry Division and III Corps Headquarters.

“This award further demonstrates that the Army can move faster, smarter, and in step with innovation,” said Jesse Tolleson, Acting Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology. “Leveraging non-traditional acquisition pathways and inviting industry into an iterative development process breaks down barriers and delivers capability at the speed of relevance. NGC2 is the kind of agile, scalable model required to remain ahead of tomorrow’s fight.”

“NGC2 is not just a capability. It’s a blueprint for how we’ll deliver future Army systems,” said General James Rainey, Commanding General of Army Futures Command. “This award reflects a fundamentally different relationship with industry, built on shared purpose, speed, and trust. By co-developing with our industry partners and putting Soldiers at the center of design, we’re delivering what they need—faster, more integrated, and ready for the fight.”

The OTA follows Team Anduril participation in the Army’s early NGC2 experimentation during Project Convergence and linked events, and it allows the Army to maintain momentum to deliver a prototype; while the CSO expands competition for industry team leads and the pool of potential vendors who can contribute to NGC2 efforts going forward.

“We know that timely and integrated data will be critical to enable commanders’ decision making in future warfare, and we need industry to bring their best in order to meet the speed of need for our warfighters,” said Brig. Gen. Aligned with the Army’s Continuous Transformation efforts and building upon Transformation in Contact (TiC) and Command and Control (C2) Fix initiatives, NGC2 is a new approach to enable commanders to make more, better, and faster decisions than the enemy. NGC2 is not a single program or technology, but an ecosystem delivered as a “technology stack” of four layers including transport, infrastructure, data, and applications. This approach integrates information from previously siloed warfighting systems and enables the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to rapidly organize and analyze data to improve commanders’ decision advantage.

“Commanders want this level of technology – the ease of accessing applications no matter where they are on the battlefield, gaining complete situational awareness through a wireless tablet, and having access to a suite of collaboration, planning, and modeling tools to enable decision advantage is what NGC2 is all about,” said Col. Michael Kaloostian, Director of the Command and Control Cross-Functional Team (C2 CFT), Army Futures Command. “It’ll be intuitive, reliable, and maintain the pace of technological change.”

On January 23, Anduril Industries announced that it has promoted two executives, Christian Brose and Matthew Steckman, to enhanced roles within the company.

Brose has been named president and chief strategy officer. In this new capacity, he will be responsible for leading many of the company’s core growth-related functions, including corporate strategy, business development, government relations, communications, and international business.

Steckman has been named president and chief business officer. In this expanded role, he will be responsible for leading many of the company’s core internal functions, including oversight of corporate operations, executive operations, divisional activities, business performance, and revenue generation.

“Matt and Chris have been indispensable in making Anduril the company it is today,” said CEO Brian Schimpf. “They have been performing many of the functions of their new roles already, but their increased responsibility reflects how much more I will be relying on both of them to work across the company to shape and deliver on our long-term growth.”

On December 6, Palantir and Anduril announced that they are launching a new consortium to ensure that the U.S. government leads the world in artificial intelligence. The goal is to deliver the technological infrastructure, from the edge to the enterprise, that can enable government and industry partners to transform America’s world-leading AI advancements into next-generation military and national security capabilities.

This partnership is focused on solving two main problems that limit the adoption of AI for national security purposes. The first is data readiness. Most useful national security data— government data that are collected and created by sensors, vehicles, weapons, and robots at the tactical edge—are not retained for AI training and algorithm development. Exabytes of defense data, indispensable for AI training and inferencing, are currently evaporating. What should be America’s ultimate asymmetric advantage over adversaries is instead the biggest lost opportunity.

To solve this, the companies will utilize Anduril’s Lattice software system and the Anduril Menace family of deployable compute and communications systems to instrument the tactical edge for the government’s secure, large-scale data retention and distribution. Lattice connects directly with third-party defense systems at the edge, delivers autonomy to machine operations, securely distributes their information across a large-scale data mesh, and backhauls all tactical data into government enclaves for the purposes of AI training and inferencing. Menace devices are also purpose-built for the tactical edge, customized down to the silicon level for the unique requirements of national security operations in tactical environments—including, soon, next- generation encryption.

The second problem exists when processing data at scale. Even with national security data that are retained, no secure enterprise pipeline exists to turn that data into AI capabilities. U.S. companies are developing world-leading models but struggling to deploy them at scale with government partners for defense applications.

To solve that, the companies will utilize Palantir’s AI Platform (AIP) to deliver a cloud-based data management and AI development capability that operates at the hyper-scale of commercial industry while meeting the unique requirements of national security. This will enable the structuring, labeling, and preparation of defense data for AI training and development at all levels of classification, including Secure Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP). Palantir’s AIP provides a seamless interface for commercial and government AI developers to conduct imitation and reinforcement learning. It also provides a secure pipeline to deploy, retrain, and redeploy those AI models onto national security systems—a process made even easier, faster, and more reliable through the integration with Anduril’s unique edge capabilities.
