Before the chief AI architect role, Dr. Nazari worked for Amentum leading key AI initiatives at DARPA. Prior to joining Amentum, he held roles at Scientific System Company, Inc. Under this contract, Amentum will provide systems engineering, cybersecurity, integration, logistics, sustainment, operations, and program management solutions to support Assured Access to Space (AATS) Space Systems Command and realize the USSF’s goal to modernize the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS). Updating the LTRS will enable a high-cadence, multi-user spaceport model for national security, space exploration, and commercial launch operations.

Amentum’s initiatives under SFRC include implementation of a consolidated LTRS strategy, Spaceport CONOPS, enhanced range resilience, digital transformation and modernization, and the recruitment and retention of low-density/high-demand technical talent such as machinists, radar specialists, data scientists, and engineers.

Amentum’s efforts ensure the client’s mission stays ahead of potential adversaries. The top priority for these efforts will be disrupting the illicit supply chain for synthetic opioids and associated money laundering.

This win highlights the DOD’s continued trust in Amentum’s longstanding expertise in using the most suitable advanced tools and techniques to solve issues of national significance. The contract spans 96 months, with an additional 4-month transition period, and is part of the CN&GT Multi-Award IDIQ, Operations and Logistics Pool.

As the first unified global communications network, Rivada’s Outernet is transformative. OASIS+ is a government-wide, multiple award, IDIQ acquisition program for non-IT services. The program is designed to address agencies’ need for a full range of service requirements that integrate multiple service disciplines with the flexibility for commercial and non-commercial requirements and can support both classified and unclassified task orders. The IDIQ has a five-year base period of performance with one option period of five years that may extend the cumulative term of the contract to ten years, with no total-dollar contract ceiling or cap on award.

Under this contract, Amentum will perform RDT&E engineering to enhance the total lifecycle management of advanced surveillance systems, including vehicle integration, platform integration, sensor integration, supply chain security, obsolescence analysis, and anti-tamper technologies. Amentum will use its Integrated Digital Engineering Approach (IDEA) to identify critical enabling technologies and develop new approaches and opportunities for technology transfer and integration to keep pace with continually emerging and evolving threats. This will drive continued technological superiority by incorporating quick-reaction analysis and rapid engineering development principles.

Amentum was awarded this contract under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center’s (DoDIAC) multiple-award contract (MAC) vehicle. These IAC MAC task orders are awarded by the U.S. Air Force’s 774^th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron to develop and create new knowledge for the enhancement of the DTIC repository and the R&D and S&T community. The contract term is a 60-month cost-plus/fixed-fee task order.
